"Get" converts better than "Submit"
"Submit" is what you do to a form. "Get" is what you do for yourself. That's the whole difference, and it's worth about 30% more conversions.
Generic button labels describe the action from the system's perspective. Submit. Send. Register. They're technically accurate and emotionally empty.
Good button copy describes the outcome from the user's perspective. Get my free guide. Start my trial. Show me the results. The user isn't thinking "I want to submit a form." They're thinking "I want the thing."
The fix takes 30 seconds. Change your button text to start with a verb that describes what the user gets, not what the system does. First person helps too. "Get my guide" outperforms "Get your guide" in most tests.
Change "Submit" to something that describes the outcome. Start with "Get", "Start", or "Show". Use first person.
