Fix your mobile conversion gap

Look at your analytics. Compare mobile and desktop conversion rates. For most sites, mobile converts at roughly half the rate of desktop. That's not because people browse on phones and buy on computers. It's because most mobile experiences are broken.

The usual suspects: buttons too small to tap accurately, forms that require zooming, pages that take 4 seconds to load, and checkout flows designed for a mouse.

Start with your mobile conversion funnel. Go through it yourself on a phone. Actually try to buy something or sign up. Time it. Note every moment of friction. You'll find the problems in about 3 minutes.

The highest-impact fixes are usually boring. Make buttons at least 48px tall. Use single-column layouts. Autofill what you can. Cut page weight so it loads in under 2 seconds. None of this is clever. All of it works.

Try this

Go through your entire conversion flow on a phone right now. Fix the three most annoying things you find. Measure the before and after.
