Pricing CTAs should say what happens next

"Get started" on a pricing page could mean anything. Sign up? Start a trial? Enter credit card? Talk to sales? The ambiguity creates a moment of hesitation, and hesitation on a pricing page kills conversions.

"Start 14-day free trial" leaves no room for doubt. The user knows exactly what clicking does, what they're committing to (nothing yet), and what the timeframe is. Every word reduces uncertainty.

The same logic applies across different models. "Buy now - $49" is better than "Continue." "Book a demo" is better than "Contact us." "Subscribe - cancel anytime" is better than "Choose plan." Each version tells the user what happens after the click.

The anxiety at the pricing page is always about commitment. Am I going to be charged? Will I be locked in? Do I need to talk to someone? The CTA button text is your last chance to answer these questions before the click. Use it to reassure, not to be vague.

Try this

Check the CTA buttons on your pricing page. If any say "Get started" or "Continue," rewrite them to describe exactly what happens next.
